Bostrom Seating Launches the Bostrom Wide Ride II with Serta Technology
January 14, 2013 -- Suburban Seating, America's largest distributor of aftermarket truck seats, is excited to offer a wide range of the newly launched Bostrom Wide Ride II seat with Serta technology. Although the legacy Wide Ride remains in service and production, Bostrom has designed the upgraded, second generation with enhanced comfort and features including the integrated Serta's Cool Action Gel memory foam and Bostrom’s exclusive BackCycler system. The Serta Cool Action Gel is designed to provide twice the amount of support and seven times the cooling ability that wicks away heat away from your body. Standard features carried over from the legacy Wide Ride include an ergonomic 23” wide seat cushion and hi back upper, adjustable dampers, recline adjustments, flex support cushion support system, dual chamber air lumbar, and back and cushion air lumbar support adjustment.
One key difference between legacy Wide Ride and the Wide Ride II is that the new Wide Ride II sits higher. The standard or high profile suspension sits about 2 inches higher and the low profile suspension sits about 4 inches higher. Bostrom states that ‘the additional height is due to the design differences in the seat structure and is part of how we achieved improved comfort and features.’
Seat height can be an important element when considering which seat is best for you and your application. Should you have any questions or guidance with selecting a seat please contact a Suburban Seating technical application specialist.
